The Nevrotix - Paranoid 2016

Once in a while a band comes down the pike that truly stands apart.Case in point ,The Nevrotix  these young upstarts from Sweden released a killer 4 song ep/ demo in late 2014.By mid 2015 these kats had garnered a whack of airplay around the globe as well as some serious buzz.Their brand of old school psychobilly with the right mix of neo rockabilly comes off strikingly fresh and modern. A lot of people,including myself are and were excited about the band's full album debut.Well it's now here ,call "Paranoid" and it's a real doozie. This puppy roars in with 11 original tracks of rockin' psychobilly that's hard not to like.All 4 of the songs from the demo are here and the rest of the tracks are as good and / or  better.As a result this is one really strong album that delivers in spades.Highlights include: " Mad About You", " Rampton Rage", "Hyena Bop", and " Moon Monster".

Midnight Teds - I Love That Girl 2015

If your into teddy boy rock n roll you probably know of Sweden's Midnight Teds,if not you may want to check them out..These kats have been kicking out their brand of teddy boy rock since 2009.With 2 albums and 2 singles (all good) they have managed to gain a solid rep as well as a growing fan base.The band's latest release" I Love That Girl ",their 3rd album shows that this is an outfit that isn't  afraid to mix it up.This puppy struts through the door with 8 originals and 3 covers that range from teddy boy rock to rockabilly to punk and more.Hell there is 2 Misfits covers here and the track "Unexplained Things" is a haunting,rootsy track with strings.Also there is 3 tracks that have been released before included here.The result is an album that is diverse and surprisingly refreshing .Highlights include: "I Love That Girl", "Leroy","The Beast " and " Rockabilly Village".

                             
 No one can accuse the Midnight Teds of standing still.They are a teddy boy rock n roll band that aren't afraid to spread their wings. The Deltas - Good Time Guide 2015

The Deltas have always been a kool band .Right from their start back in 1980 the band quickly earned a rep as been one of the wildest live acts around .Hell their brand of  revved up, blues fueled rockabilly helped push the first wave of psychobilly into the public eye.To this day they still  remain not only  influential but also essential listening.From 1981's "Boogie Disease" to 1996's "From Feetville To Vegas" these kats have laid down some serious frantic rock n roll.All that said it's been 20 years since their last album and now they are back and just as hungry as ever. Not messing around these kats headed over to Diablo Records for their latest effort and the result is the killer album "Good Time Guide". This puppy comes in with 11 tracks that don't disappoint.Ranging from  rockabilly to all out rockers to the blues and even country. The band doesn't miss a step here and at times this is refreshingly vigorous.Highlights include "Wreck Your Country", " Milk And Honey", " Alligator Wine " and "80 Minute Drive".
        It may have been 20 years since their last outing but The Deltas are in fine form on  "Good Time Guide". This is a standout album by a band that still has a fire in their belly Highly recommended!  https://www.facebook.com/The-deltas-250517841792977/?fref=ts

The Green Reflectors - S/T 2015

For a band that describes itself as just a little duo,The Green Reflectors sure make a ton of commotion.Hailing from Nova Scotia this instrumental duo is known as the non-surf ,surf band .What these kats lay down is a blistering mix of surf ,punk and at times hard rock into a refreshing brew of smash mouth Instrumental surf based rock.Their first  2 albums had very limited runs but still managed to snag some international attention .That said the band's 3rd  self titled effort is now out  and one has to be impressed .Coming in with 18 original  tracks of smash mouth surf rock that could wake the dead.There is no messing around here as most of the tracks come in at under 2 minutes and only a couple touch the 3 minute barrier.Hell this hits hard and fast and leaves you wanting more.Highlights include: "Blowtorch", "The Not So Surf Song", "Rocket Booster", "Kreetlugget" and "Magnum Swagger".

     The Green Reflectors  are a band that understands what it means to deliver more bang for your buck and you gotta like that.
